Tool SD-1000 installation manual
Our SD-1000 sensor control system is one of the simplest solutions for measuring the level of load in
silos. The installation consists of embedding the sensors in the supports or legs of the silos, allowing the detection of micro-deformations produced in the structure due to the load.

1 1 The SD-1000 requires a very precise installation. This is done in the center of the supports or legs of the silos (Fig. 1), requiring a minimum thickness of 4mm (Fig 2).
It must be placed in a clear area that does not coincide with crossheads or crossbars. To install more than one sensor, it is recommended to place them on the parallel legs, as shown in Fig. 3.

Remove the washers from the self-tapping screws.

Make a hole centered on the beam with the 4mm bit, for the upper hole of the tool.
Set the tool. You must screw, with the help of the drill, the self-tapping screw.

Using the tool as a template for drilling, repeat steps 3 and 4, in the bottom hole of the tool.

Clamp the clamp to the drill and place the metric 10 bit. Drill with the help of the guide.
Carry out the drill with low revolutions.

The following steps refer to the correct insertion of the sensor into the beam. 9 The sensor must be placed in the middle of the web of the beam, for this the fi rst step is to measure the thickness of the beam with the rule. The ruler has four measurement ranges A, B, C, and D. As shown in the fi gure, the ruler must be inserted through the central hole and fi xed with the hook on the opposite wall of the beam. When placing the rule, you should look at the letter that is level with the wall of the tool. Remove the drill. Put the SD-1000 sensor in the hole 19, with the wires out. Ensure the correct placement of the sensor by inserting it into the hole and checking that the arrows are perpendicular to the beam, as shown in the image.

Once the thickness of the web of the beam has been measured, place the clamping jaw in its corresponding position. Place the two screws and tighten alternately with the fi xed wrench until it stops.
